The priority in hair transplantation is to use healthy hair follicles. The preferred areas for this are the back of the
patient's own scalp or the hair follicles on the sides of the head, commonly known as the donor areas. These areas
are considered safe donor regions.
However, if there are not enough hair follicles in these areas or if the area to be transplanted is too extensive,
healthy follicles can be extracted from different parts of the body for hair transplantation. If they are dense and
suitable, beard hairs can also be used for hair transplantation to the required areas.
The first choice should always be the donor area at the back of the scalp because the hair in this area is resistant to
shedding throughout a person's lifetime.
